The very first time we met, I told Autumn "You are the one that I am going to marry." She didn't believe me then, but I think she is starting to believe me now! (haha) Exactly one year later from our first date, I asked for her to marry me, April 24, 2010. As the princess she is, I knew just the perfect way to propose to her: on a carriage ride in Chicago. The night was a cooler night back in April, with beautiful buildings brightly lit as far as the eye could see. The carriage was taking us to the amazing Japanese sushi restaurant, Oysy. So it was time to ask the question, as the horse trotted along, I knelt down and poured out my love for her and asked for her hand in marriage. She just looked at me and said "Wait, did you just ask me to marry you? OMG, ask me again, ask me again!" She was so caught in the moment that she couldn't comprehend what had just happened. So, I asked her again, and she said yes! The rest is history! |
